Monte Grappa

The summit of the valiant

Monte Grappa is a massif in which history, nature and tradition are intertwined, it was a protagonist during the Great War, it is ideal for historical-naturalistic excursions and hosts some of the most sought-after paragliding and hang-gliding bases in the world. The entire mountain is marked by the trenches, tunnels and emplacements left over from the First World War.

Once you reach the summit of Monte Grappa, you can visit the Sacrario Militare (Military Memorial), a monument dedicated to soldiers who fell in the war, designed and built by the fascist regime to exalt heroism, sacrifice, and death in battle.
