Known throughout the world as the birthplace of sculptor Antonio Canova, Possagno is represented by the marvellous Temple that towers above the panorama of its hills.
The Canovian Temple mesmerises anyone who looks at it. Its beauty and the quality of its structure make it one of the most beautiful structures in the province of Treviso. Inside the temple, you can admire the tomb of Antonio Canova as well as some of his works.
The museum dedicated to Antonio Canova consists of three areas: the Gipsoteca, where his works are housed; the Casa Natale, where the artist lived and gave life to some of his works; and finally the Library and Historical Archive.
